2014 March Astrological Predictions

Sandy’s Monthly Predictions Through The Signs for 2014 Aries – (Generally March 21st through April 20th. Have a chart done if you’re not sure as it changes year to year.) 2014 Year Overview –
Welcome to 2014!  This is going to be an amazing and dynamic year of growth for you!  Big changes in your home and family will lead to healing and expansion on the home front, and will open the door for you to freedom that will enhance both your work and your creativity.  If you are single, expect romance on a large scale! March –
This month finds you more outspoken and talkative than you usually are, would you believe?!  So you may wear out your welcome if you linger in one place too long, with your non-stop conversation.  But along the way you will iron out a few issues involving misunderstandings with close friends and even, perhaps, your significant other.  This is NOT a good time to play the psychologist.  Just tell it like it is, and be done with it!  Your efforts into the psychological arena are likely to be met with extreme resistance and will undoubtedly spark arguments.  At work you’ll find your own personal creativity is not flowing as well as it usually does, but when you put your head together with someone else, the ideas and solutions fly.  As a matter of fact, work with a colleague this month could easily lead to career advancement for both of you. Plan an activity or a party for Saint Patrick’s Day – it will give you a safe place to put all that pent-up energy, and help keep the peace in your relationships.  The nodes have just entered your sun sign and its opposite, Libra.  You can easily end up in tug of war or tit-for-tat relationship wars if you don’t intelligently direct your energy. Taurus – (Generally April 21st through May 20th. Have a chart done if you’re not sure as it changes year to year.) 2014 Year Overview –
The ‘flavor’ of this year for you, Taurus, is finding you within the context of a confining situation.  That situation could be the result of a dominating or overbearing partner or significant other, it could be a work or financial responsibility that leaves you no personal time, or it could be the need to take care of an older person or significant other who is ill.  But whatever the scenario – the challenge is to bear your responsibility and do it well, while carving out the time and space to find and work on you and your own needs. You’ll be walking a tightrope all year Taurus, but if you do the task well, the rewards are great. March –
You are just rockin’ and rollin’ this month Taurus, with all the planetary energy that is shifting around in your life!  You may be travelling to visit family or friends, or vice versa.  If a relative comes for a visit, do place a time limit on...

History of St. Patrick

History of St. Patrick

Sandy’s Editorial – March 2014 Hello Everyone, As I sat down to write this month’s editorial I knew I had to say something about Saint Patrick, the Patron Saint of Ireland that Saint Patrick’s Day (March 17th) was named for.  For those of you who want to know more about the history and life of this world renowned Irish Saint, click here for a fun little video: http://www.history.com/topics/st-patricks-day/who-was-saint-patrick Little is really known about Saint Patrick but the few existing records tell us that he lived a life that was both interesting and exciting.  He lived around 450 AD, and was born neither religious nor Irish.  His home town was somewhere in what is now either England or Scotland.  He was abducted by raiders as a child and taken to Ireland where he lived as a slave for six years before returning to the mainland as a young man.  Now here’s where things get interesting.  In his letter, ‘Confessions’, he wrote that God told him it was time to return to his homeland, so he went.  He tells in that document about hearing voices and getting warnings and advice from God and his unseen helpers throughout his life.  Back in his home town he embraced Christianity, though prior to his slavery he was not a religious man.  I wonder if his turning to Christianity and its God had something to do with the voices in his head.  I have found that is not an uncommon reaction.  When people have psychic experiences they cannot understand or easily dismiss they often need to turn the responsibility over to a ‘higher power’ to preserve their sanity.  ‘Confessions’ tells us that the ‘voice of God’ told him to become a Christian, and then to return to Ireland as a missionary.  He followed the ‘advice of the Angels’.  Again, I wonder here if he was really hearing Angelic voices, or if these voices were those of his own inner self lusting for revenge upon his erstwhile captors? That is pure conjecture, and something no one will ever know.  At any rate, upon returning to Ireland he dedicated the remainder of his life to spreading Christianity to the ‘barbarian tribes’ he found there by the thousands.  His ‘Confessions’ alludes to the many times he placed himself in danger of all kinds, relying on his ‘voices’ to save him, and defying the advice of his friends and colleagues.  In the same document if one reads between the lines there are references to violence both to him and by him.  He lived in a violent dawn-time in our world, and he worked tirelessly to spread the word of Christianity and to destroy the Pagan-Celtic presence in Ireland.  If this was the land of the Druids, they were no more by the time he died. He was awarded the office of Bishop over all Ireland. I have long been aware that it was not the ‘snakes’ that St. Patrick chased out of Ireland, as the folk story goes, but...

Sandy’s Psychic Protection Tip #10

Sandy’s Psychic Protection Tip #10

Psychic Protection Tip #10 Have you ever been flying high with success one minute and then felt like you were belly punched to the ground the next, following just a short interaction with someone who undermined your success with a few well place words?  Folks, all of us have been subjected to this kind of nose dive occasionally.  Anyone could do this to you, but the people who are best at dropping you to your knees are usually those you love most and who are closest to you.   But why would someone, especially someone you love, do this to you if they did not have your best interests in mind? The answer is Energy of course. When someone is chronically low energy, for whatever reason, it is often easier to take the high energy of someone else than to do the work to replenish their own. But don’t be too loud in your condemnation of those energy suckers.  All of us are, upon occasion, psychic vampires.  Some, unfortunately, are full-time energy vampires. Those you should quickly identify and exclude from your life to the best of your ability.  Here’s what to do about the part-time vampires:  The first step to dealing with them is for you to be aware of your feelings and to be strong in your own belief in yourself.  Be aware immediately of any fluctuations in your own energy. A sudden shift in your emotions from happy to depressed is a great giveaway you’re being vamped. By being centered within yourself you will quickly recognize the negative or antagonistic comments being directed against you.  Your first thought should not be, “Wow, I wonder if I really do look horrible?” it should be “I wonder why this person I am speaking with wants to make me feel badly about myself?” As soon as you change how YOU RECEIVE the comment, it no longer has the power to undermine you in any way.  Your second step is merely to decide how you want to deal with this negative person.  You may excuse yourself and walk away.  You may just laugh and change the subject.  You may actually ask the person why they want to make you feel bad, putting THEM on the defensive.  There are many ways to proceed, but the important thing is to never give an excuse, or appear to be vacillating in your response.  If the vampire detects weakness, the cycle begins...

Ok, so I’m psychic, now what?

Ok, so I’m psychic, now what?

Ok, so I’m psychic…. Now what? By Lisa Freeman – Intuitive Consultant/Medium More and more people are coming to acknowledge that they have intuition or great insight… that they have the ability to know things before they happen… that they have ‘feelings’ about a person or place… that they are PSYCHIC! I know it’s a scary thought for some, to think about using an ability they are not yet comfortable with or not fully sure what to do with.. but it’s also a great understanding of self for others. We as a society are finally coming to realize, and in a huge way, that there is so much more to us than simply a physical body with a brain, and a brain that we only tap into on a very low percentage. It’s time for us to ramp up and utilize everything about ourselves that we can! It’s our body, it’s our brain, it’s our right to exceed expectations! So if you are reading this, it’s because you are curious.. and possibly thinking about the psychic/intuitive connection you see within yourself, and that you ‘just might’ be starting to give yourself permission to ‘check out what all this intuitive stuff is all about that so many people are talking about these days..  and what all that entails, and, where do you go from here? How do you tune in or turn up your intuitive side? Where do you go to learn and who from? What will happen if I ‘do’ try and tap in to my psychic centers? What then? Very good questions, and I have a great answers! Study, practice, read, watch, get involved with your own expansion of awareness and see where it leads you! One of the first things people ask me is ‘why would I want to be psychic’? First of all my friends, ‘everyone’ is! We are all born with intuitive ability. It’s normal. And you can either work to make that ability stronger or not. My mentor and good friend Sandy Anastasi (yes, this is her newsletter) always says to her students that you can either learn how to use your psychic ability, or it will use you… or something close to that.. lol.. And learning to control your ability is not hard, but it is a choice and a nice dedication to yourself. Take throwing a ball, for instance. If you can pick up a ball, you can generally at least toss it. It might only go a few inches, but you have the ability to release the ball. If you practice throwing a ball every day, pretty soon it’s going further and further, and with more accuracy. Baseball players, football players, Tennis players and so on and so on, all practice at their ‘ability’ to make it stronger, to be more focused, to do what they want to do with it. Some might become a professional athlete but most will just enjoy the fine tuned ability they have acquired and use...

Happy Birthday Pisces by John Maerz

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PISCES 2014 By John Maerz B.A.   At this point you’re thinking, “They have no idea who I am or what I feel.” You’re absolutely right. They don’t. For a brief time from April of 2011 until August and then again starting in February of 2012 your view of yourself and how other people see you has undergone a tremendous metamorphosis. It’s like you came into your own but you went so deeply into it that no one could either follow you or make sense of how you’ve changed. Whether this came as the result of your reaction to a relationship or simply just a sudden insight, you have found that you’re more than the person you have been presenting yourself as. There is a depth of perception that goes beneath your persona to a place you find unfathomable to be able to convey to others. This is a terrifying place for most. Most people can’t even speak of it let alone give it a name. It’s what the scriptures call “The Abyss.” It is a place of total exposure. There is nothing to hold on to and nothing that gives any indication of direction, purpose or reflection. In this place you are able to see yours and everyone else’s fears. You feel like the world has gradually become transparent. For you, it has. The question is, what are you going to do with this knowledge? What is it you are going to do with what you see and feel of others? Empathy, the hallmark of Pisces’ journey, is a powerful capacity. It has existed within all of us since before we were able to think. It comes unbidden and in irresistible waves. We feel the currents of every other soul like they were our own. Except, since your change, you have begun to be able to separate your feelings from those of others; to recognize them as not your own. It’s like you’ve been give a gift. Compassion is the capacity to take what we recognize of another’s feelings and act in a way that will bring them peace through diminishing their pain or accelerating their joy. The empathy comes naturally to all of us. But to apply what we’ve become aware of is a skill and learned. Through planetary transits you have been given the first step toward taking compassionate action: the ability to know and recognize another’s pain and joy. The recognition is the gift. With this awareness you have the opportunity to be a guide through their underworld. Our bondage to pain is our resistance to our underworld; our shadow, that which we fear about ourselves which we feel is unacceptable to others. You now know the root of this fear in others through your feelings…your empathy with them. What are you going to do with this knowledge? Will you utilize love and kindness in showing them that they are beautiful as they are or will you use that fear in blackmailing them...

AstroLights March 2014 by John Maerz

MARCH 2014 ASTROLIGHTS By John Maerz B.A. The first part of the month promises to set the stage for the flow of things. On the 1st we have a new Moon in Pisces and Mars turns retrograde in Libra. On the 2nd, Saturn turns retrograde in Scorpio and on the 6th Jupiter turns direct in Cancer. At first glance it looks like we’re slowing down action in our relationships (Mars) and stepping up nurturance (Jupiter). But the recent themes in the heavens have involved empathy. This is shown through the new Moon in Pisces and Jupiter’s involvement in Cancer. It should also be noted that Mars’ position in Libra is in “detriment” or in an inauspicious place to have a natal or “home” placement. This indicates that our tendency toward taking action (Mars), especially in relationships (Libra), should bear considerable inspection and caution. In our culture the assumed appropriate behavior for any situation is to “do something.” This applies to anything that appears to be “a problem.” But our problems are usually defined as things that don’t go according to what we’ve planned or expected. For us, this includes relationships. Perhaps, “doing something” is only our reaction toward feeling helpless as a result of other people’s choices leading us to feel that we are not in control. So, “doing” tends to “remedy” that feeling by giving us the impression that we are in control. This is a very subtle form of self-deception…the bailiwick of Neptune who currently resides in Pisces; its home position. Jupiter’s presence in Cancer is two fold. First, it obviously shows us the connection toward action, of which we so dearly love, concerning nurturance which is the major lesson connected to Cancer. This, for us, seems obvious. But Jupiter’s rulership of Pisces and presence in Cancer is bringing a second quality to the surface of our consciousness and that is; emotionally listening or becoming aware of our empathy for the other person. Because, it is through that empathy that we will learn what it is in our relationships that constitutes support and nurturance to our significant “others.” Are you listening? Can you let go of your own desires and expectations for just a moment to hear what they are needing or wanting from you? If you can, you’re responding in a healthy way to the current transits. If not, you’ve some work to “do.” In other “news” around the solar system, a full Moon will occur in Virgo on the 16th. Give some time and energy to your health and how you serve yourself. If you’re not happy and healthy, you will have limited ability to apply energy to the tasks you have set out for yourself this month. Secondly, the spring equinox will occur on the 20th as the Sun moves into Aries. This is the flip side of Mars being in Libra and in detriment. With whatever tasks you have lined up for yourself, you may want to include the services of your significant...
