Hello Everyone! I hope you all enjoyed a wonderful Holiday season topped off with a Joyous New Year’s Celebration! My husband Ron and I don’t usually go out on New Year’s Eve, preferring instead the warmth and safety of our couch at home. This year we decided to break with tradition. We took each other out for a romantic dinner for two at a local comedy club where we could bring in the New Year with laughter and good company. I suspect there will be a lot of breaking with tradition for all of us in this coming year, so I figured getting with the program right off was a good idea.
Firstly, I want to personally wish every one of you a Happy Holiday Season, whether you are celebrating Chanukah, Christmas, Cuanza, Yule, or any other special day this year as we pass from 2012 into 2013. I believe that this time of year, celebrated in some way by just about everyone on our dear Planet Earth, is the time that we all truly come together in our hearts.
As I was reading Rick Manelius’ great article, ‘A Point Of View Is From A Point,’ it got me thinking about just how very important this election month, in this Presidential election year, is for all of us. It seemed that the American public was fairly equally divided between voting for our incumbent President Obama, or voting for his opponent in the election, Governor Romney. And frankly, when I spoke with individuals, many, many people were not happy about either option.
As I was writing the Sun Sign updates for this month, I found myself eagerly waiting to see what I would write for each sign. You see, as I write, my Guides channel the information that I write. That is how I make my Sun Sign monthly predictions so appropriate to each of you readers. So, the information is just as much a surprise to me as it is to you!
I want to extend positive energy and goodwill to all of the folks in Louisiana and the Northern Gulf Coast who have just survived another hurricane battering, this time by Isaac, and exactly seven years after the disaster of Hurricane Katrina. Thank God, Isaac was a dim glimmer of Katrina, and our Louisiana and Gulf Coast friends were ready for him!
Now that summer is nearly at an end and we are all trying to get some enjoyment out of those last lingering summer days, it is a good time to look at the 'Harvest Cycles,' followed by many of the world's Pagan religions and all of the world's farmers. Even though most of you reading this newsletter are not Pagan, we all respond to the cycles of the year that they follow as in some lifetime long past we DID follow those cycles and patterns ourselves. Those cycles are in our genes and in our very bones. There are three harvests every year. Farmers are all aware of them.
For those of you who weren't able to attend the 4th Annual Through the Veil conference in Atlanta this year, I want to tell you that you really did miss a very special gathering of amazing teachers, lecturers, psychics, mediums and healers, and a wonderfully supportive team of presentation coordinators led by Michelle Griffin.
It is with great pleasure that I am co-creating and presenting a three-part webinar with author, lecturer, radio and video host Kala Ambrose on the evenings of August 16th, 23rd, and 30th. Be sure to mark off those dates on your calendar! This will be a fully interactive webinar like none other you've participated in!
I came across a wonderful article by Aar Tiana about this particular Venus retrograde we are experiencing now, and it really got me to thinking. You can read the article here. Ms. Tiana says that the first of this pair of Venus retrogrades occurred in June of 2004, and that now, from May 15th through June 27th, 2012, we are experiencing the second transit of this pair of Venus retrogrades. This transiting pair occurs only once every 150 years. We are living in rare times. One of Ms.
May is a Month of Nurturance
The month of May is important for so many reasons, especially this year. First off, I want to wish all of the mothers reading this a Happy Mother’s Day. And then I want to extend that wish to all women and men, who find themselves in the nurturing role. That is what Mother's Day is REALLY celebrating. It was my own mother who taught me that lesson.
